Role Overview – Systems Engineer
The Systems Engineer role at Visa focuses on building and supporting middleware platforms and integration systems that enable communication between different enterprise applications.
You will be part of the PaaS Middleware Engineering team, which designs and maintains web and middle-tier platforms used by internal and external applications. The role includes designing scalable systems, integrating data platforms, and ensuring the reliability of mission-critical services.
This is a hybrid role based in Bangalore, meaning some office presence will be required depending on team requirements.
Key Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, your responsibilities may include:
• Designing and developing middleware solutions using platforms such as Hazelcast, Qlik, Flink, Temporal, and Striim
• Collaborating with developers and architects to build scalable middleware architectures
• Implementing integrations that enable seamless communication between systems
• Configuring and optimizing middleware platforms for high performance and reliability
• Providing Level 3 support to resolve complex technical issues
• Performing maintenance activities such as updates, patches, and performance tuning
