Job Overview
As an Apprentice Application Support Analyst, you will act as the first line of support for business users, helping them troubleshoot IT issues, monitor application performance, and assist in incident and service request management. This role involves working in a rotational shift, providing 24/7 support across APAC, EMEA, or AMER hours.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Serve as the first line of support for business users’ IT requests and incidents.
- Respond promptly and resolve issues within service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor application performance, respond to alerts, and provide health check reports.
- Communicate effectively in written and verbal business English, including technical documentation.
- Work collaboratively with Infrastructure support teams and other business units.
- Learn and apply troubleshooting for operating systems (Linux/Windows) and enterprise tools like SharePoint, Box, OneDrive, and MS Teams.
- Understand and assist with cloud computing (AWS) and basic IT infrastructure concepts such as load balancers, networking, firewalls, NAT, and virtual servers.
- Use tools such as PuTTY, RDP, SSH, WinSCP, and MySQL Query Browser to resolve application issues.
- Maintain incident logs, reports, and documentation following IT service management best practices.
