What You’ll Be Doing as a QA Trainee 🧪

As a QA Trainee at Futops Technologies, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through manual and automated testing. You’ll gain experience in test automation using Python, Linux system internals, and quality assurance methodologies, while contributing to innovative projects in the AI and IoT space.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Test Case Development & Execution:
   • Understand user requirements and elaborate possible use cases.
   • Identify and document test cases, use cases, and test scenarios.
   • Execute manual test scenarios and analyze results.
2. Test Automation:
   • Write and execute automation test cases using Python.
   • Monitor automated test results on a daily basis and improve test coverage.
   • Use Python-based test automation frameworks like Selenium and unittest.
3. Quality Assurance & Reporting:
   • Log, track, and analyze defects using appropriate tools.
   • Document test steps, expected results, and create Requirement Traceability Matrices (RTM).
   • Report quality status, identify weak areas, and ensure comprehensive testing before product release.
4. Linux Systems & Tools:
   • Utilize Linux operations and tools like vim, awk, sed, grep, and logrotate for system analysis.
   • Work with Docker and containerized environments for test automation.
   • Gain in-depth knowledge of Linux system internals such as systemd, networkd, and resolved.
5. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:
   • Collaborate with development teams to ensure bug-free releases.
   • Participate in Agile development cycles and contribute to continuous improvement processes.

Skills & Qualifications You’ll Need

Futops Technologies is looking for fresh graduates with a passion for software quality assurance and a keen interest in automation testing. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed in this role:

Must-Have Skills:

• Testing Automation: Experience with Python 3 for automation testing.
• Test Life Cycle Knowledge: Understanding of the full testing life cycle, from test case identification to defect tracking.
• Documentation Skills: Ability to document test steps, expected results, and defect reports.
• Defect Logging & Debugging: Proficiency in defect logging, debugging, and log analysis.
• Linux Operations: Familiarity with Linux tools like vim, crond, awk, sed, grep, and logrotate.
• Python Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Selenium, unittest, or other Python-based test automation frameworks.
• Version Control: Expert-level knowledge of Git for version control and collaboration.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Computer Vision & Multimedia: Knowledge of Computer Vision software and GStreamer is a plus.
• Cloud Services: Familiarity with AWS or other cloud services.
• DevOps & Containers: Understanding of DevOps practices, Docker Swarm, and containerization technologies.
