Job Role and Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
• Develop new or improve existing key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate business performance. Collaborate with the data
  engineering team to put the necessary data collection into practice
• Gain expertise in Poshmark’s internal data systems and platforms, as well as their respective use cases
• Monitor existing metrics, analyze data, and partner with stakeholders and team members to identify opportunities for improvement
• Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and insights
• Ensure built-in time and processes for reviewing data and insights. Provide data-driven insights that lead to actionable business recommendations in a simple, clear, and compelling manner
• Always strive for high-quality deliverables by performing extensive QA to ensure the accuracy and consistency of final data
  

Job Requirements:

• Strong data mining skills using SQL with proficiency in Excel. Exposure and familiarity with Python, R, and Spark SQL preferred
• Good understanding of data modeling concept and partnering on building new data warehouse tables
• Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
• Expert in both qualitative and quantitative analysis, with strong storytelling and presentation skills
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability to break down complex problems and solve it from first principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
