Role Overview
As a Site Reliability Engineering Intern, you will work closely with experienced SREs and development teams to support the reliability, scalability, and availability of Poshmark’s production infrastructure. This role is designed to provide structured learning in monitoring, alerting, automation, incident management, and cloud operations. You will not be on primary on-call duty but will observe and learn real incident response workflows while contributing to meaningful internal projects under guidance.
6-Month Internship Accomplishments
During this internship, you will:
- Gain a strong understanding of Poshmark’s technology stack and infrastructure
- Learn core Site Reliability Engineering principles such as monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Get hands-on exposure to cloud infrastructure and DevOps tools
- Assist in building or enhancing automation scripts, dashboards, or internal tools
- Contribute to small-scale infrastructure or reliability projects
- Observe real-world on-call rotations and incident management processes
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring the health, performance, and availability of production services
- Support senior engineers in deploying, maintaining, and improving infrastructure
- Help create and maintain dashboards, alerts, and runbooks
- Participate in troubleshooting basic production issues
- Assist in post-incident reviews and documentation
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application behavior
- Follow best practices related to reliability, security, and automation
