Team Overview – Internal Identity Engineering

The apprenticeship is part of the Internal Identity Engineering team, which focuses on secure, scalable, and automated identity services for employees, contractors, partners, and systems. Key responsibilities of this team include:

  • Identity lifecycle management: Joiner–Mover–Leaver workflows integrated with HR systems
  • Identity governance: Microsoft Entra Identity Governance and access reviews
  • Authentication and SSO: Platform modernization and secure access
  • Privileged access management (PAM) and non-human identity controls
  • Zero Trust identity foundations, compliance, and audit readiness
  • Cloud-first identity platforms: Entra ID, Active Directory, and automation tooling

Apprentices will collaborate with HR, enterprise security, platform engineering, and architecture teams, gaining exposure to complex enterprise-scale systems.

Role Overview – Apprentice, Identity Engineering

As an Identity Engineering Apprentice, you will:

  • Gain hands-on experience working with enterprise identity platforms
  • Contribute to identity automation, security, and cloud projects
  • Learn from senior engineers and participate in real initiatives impacting global users
  • Develop technical skills in Python, PowerShell, Java, automation, and cloud technologies

Key Responsibilities

Identity Platforms & Automation

  • Build and maintain Joiner–Mover–Leaver (JML) workflows
  • Support Entra ID / Azure AD configurations and identity lifecycle management
  • Contribute to SSO onboarding and application integrations
  • Assist with access governance, packages, and reviews

Security & Compliance

  • Support Zero Trust identity models and conditional access policies
  • Assist in audit readiness and access review documentation
  • Learn privileged access concepts and non-human identity controls

Engineering & Operations

  • Write scripts and automation tasks for identity operations
  • Support monitoring, incident analysis, and process improvements
  • Work with Jira Service Management workflows
  • Document operational procedures and contribute to continuous improvement
