Role Overview
Peakflo is hiring a Machine Learning (ML) Engineer Intern to work on advanced AI solutions, particularly focusing on LLMs and AI-powered finance workflows. This internship allows you to design and implement voice-optimized prompts, agent-based AI architectures, and retrieval-augmented generation systems to improve financial processes.
Interns will collaborate closely with the engineering team to integrate ML models with cloud platforms, telephony systems, and enterprise software, while optimizing AI for real-time responsiveness and low latency. This role is ideal for candidates looking to deepen their expertise in LLM fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and Python-based AI development.
Key Responsibilities
- Craft voice-optimized prompt flows for multi-turn, goal-oriented conversational AI applications.
- Ensure prompts are clear for TTS (text-to-speech) systems, avoiding ambiguities with dates, emails, and numbers.
- Build agentic AI architectures, coordinating multiple sub-agents such as Research Agents, Finance Agents, and Editor Agents.
- Implement hierarchical workflows for scalable and modular AI solutions.
- Continuously refine prompts using LLM feedback loops, A/B testing, and performance QA tailored to finance use cases.
- Apply expertise in leading LLMs (OpenAI GPT, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude) to optimize AI performance.
- Integrate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) with financial APIs and enterprise knowledge bases to ensure factual accuracy.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on voice integrations, telephony APIs, and real-time client-side/server-side orchestration.
- Develop complementary AI tools, including OCR models, chatbots, and automated approval systems.
- Stay updated on ML, NLP, and LLM research, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Who Can Apply
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, or related fields.
- 0.5 – 2 years of industry experience in Machine Learning, Statistics, or LLM fine-tuning.
- Strong Python programming skills and experience launching ML products in production.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Google Cloud.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
