Key Responsibilities

As a Research Intern, you will work on building and extending machine learning-powered next-generation wireless systems. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing ML-Based Wireless Prototypes

You will develop and extend functionalities within a machine-learning-based next-generation wireless network prototyping framework. This includes integrating AI models into communication pipelines and improving system-level performance.

2. Optimizing AI/ML Models

You will optimize and deploy AI/ML models on GPU-accelerated edge devices. This involves model compression, latency optimization, and ensuring efficient hardware utilization in real-time communication environments.

3. Configuring SDR Hardware

A key part of the role involves configuring and operating Software Defined Radio (SDR) hardware for baseband signal processing and over-the-air (OTA) experiments. You will gain hands-on experience with real-world radio transmissions.

4. Designing Advanced Wireless Experiments

You will design and conduct experiments investigating:

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible, you must meet the following requirements:

Educational Background

  • Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Ph.D. program in:
    • Electrical Engineering

Technical Foundations
