Role Overview
The Nasuni Associate Software Engineer Systems role focuses on building and enhancing the Linux-based platform that powers Nasuni’s NAS appliance.
This is not a frontend or application-level role—it is designed for engineers interested in low-level systems, operating systems behavior, and infrastructure software.
You will contribute to platform subsystems, debug real-world issues, and gradually develop expertise in storage systems and system reliability.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
• Develop and maintain Linux-based systems software using Python and C++
• Write automation scripts using Bash or similar tools
• Debug issues across OS layers, including filesystem and networking
• Assist in system packaging, deployment, and lifecycle workflows
• Write automated tests using frameworks like pytest
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
• Collaborate with QA teams and senior engineers for troubleshooting
