Role Overview
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will be involved in designing, writing, and executing test cases for modern web applications. You will ensure quality standards, automate test cases, and work closely with product teams to deliver bug-free releases. The role demands strong analytical thinking, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and QA teams to understand application features
- Build comprehensive test cases for new features
- Perform Smoke, Sanity, Regression, Integration, and UAT testing
- Develop test strategies and ensure maximum test coverage
- Work on automation frameworks using Selenium/WebDriver
- Test modern web applications built using JavaScript frameworks like React or Angular
- Conduct API testing and performance testing (JMeter or similar tools)
- Review and analyze defects to identify root causes
- Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices
- Work in Agile/Scrum teams and participate in ceremonies
