Role Overview
As a Junior AI Engineer at Micro1, you will work closely with senior engineers to design, develop, and scale Generative AI applications. The role involves hands-on development using Python, building APIs, experimenting with LLMs, and supporting RAG-based systems. This position is well-suited for engineers who already have foundational AI experience and want to deepen their skills in real-world GenAI deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to building Generative AI applications such as answering engines, summarization tools, and entity extraction systems
- Assist in developing and debugging REST APIs using Python frameworks like FastAPI or Flask
- Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, including data ingestion, embedding creation, and prompt testing
- Work with vector databases such as Pinecone or FAISS for efficient data storage and retrieval
- Experiment with prompt templates and large language models like OpenAI or Mistral under senior guidance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI modules into production products
- Learn and assist with cloud deployments on AWS or Azure
