Role Overview
The Junior Data Engineer position sits within the Information Technology team and plays a crucial role in supporting Medpace’s data-driven operations. The role involves working on data warehousing, ETL pipelines, BI dashboards, and application development. You will be part of a team that ensures accurate data flow, develops robust analytics systems, and supports important business processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Work with data warehousing and BI technologies such as Snowflake, SQL Server, T-SQL, and ANSI SQL
- Support ETL and ELT development using tools like Azure Data Factory, SSIS, dbt, and Fivetran
- Design and enhance BI systems, especially dashboards using Microsoft Power BI
- Collect, analyze, and document business and user requirements
- Participate in software validation through test plans, cases, and scripts
- Follow the complete software development lifecycle for application development
- Communicate with cross-functional teams regarding development, tools, and project updates
- Provide end-user support including installation, setup, and troubleshooting of applications
