Role Overview
As a Medpace Entry Level Software Engineer, you will work on administrative systems and software modernization projects. You will develop, test, and maintain software applications, ensuring smooth functioning of internal IT systems. This role provides a strong foundation in software engineering principles and cloud-based modernization initiatives while enabling you to gain practical exposure to enterprise-level technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and document user requirements
- Design, modify, develop, and support software applications
- Participate in software validation through development, testing, and execution of test plans/cases/scripts
- Create software applications following software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, release, and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding projects, tools, and procedures
- Utilize skills in object-oriented programming (C#), SQL databases, and web applications (ASP.NET)
- Participate in cloud modernization projects and potential opportunities to lead small software development initiatives

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
- Knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, Angular, Webservices, GraphQL, Git, and relational databases
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills in English
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Entity Framework and Azure DevOps
- Prior exposure to modernizing systems to a cloud-based platform (Azure)
- Interest in leading software development projects
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
