Role Overview:
As an Associate Analyst – R Programmer at Mastercard’s Economics Institute, you will play a key role in designing data-driven stories, developing reusable functions, and building compelling data visualizations. You will work alongside economists, data scientists, and product teams to deliver insightful, actionable content through tools like R Markdown, Shiny apps, and interactive dashboards.
Responsibilities:
- Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate economic insights
- Develop reusable R functions and packages for automation and analysis
- Build and format analytical content using R Markdown and Quarto
- Design and deploy scalable Shiny applications
- Create interactive visualizations using Plotly, Highcharts, or D3.js
- Collaborate with front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Write SQL queries and work with platforms like Hadoop for data processing
- Maintain clean, well-documented code for team collaboration
- Use Git and version control systems for development workflow
