Role Overview:

As an Associate Analyst – R Programmer at Mastercard’s Economics Institute, you will play a key role in designing data-driven stories, developing reusable functions, and building compelling data visualizations. You will work alongside economists, data scientists, and product teams to deliver insightful, actionable content through tools like R Markdown, Shiny apps, and interactive dashboards.

Responsibilities:

  • Create clear and compelling data visualizations to communicate economic insights
  • Develop reusable R functions and packages for automation and analysis
  • Build and format analytical content using R Markdown and Quarto
  • Design and deploy scalable Shiny applications
  • Create interactive visualizations using Plotly, Highcharts, or D3.js
  • Collaborate with front-end technologies such as React, Vue, or Angular
  • Write SQL queries and work with platforms like Hadoop for data processing
  • Maintain clean, well-documented code for team collaboration
  • Use Git and version control systems for development workflow
