Role Overview
As a Trainee Software Engineer in the Automation Platform team, you will be involved in the development and maintenance of automation system code and HMI interfaces used across various crane applications manufactured by Konecranes. You will work closely with experienced engineers, R&D teams, and automation specialists, gaining practical exposure to industrial software systems and real-world engineering workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in development and maintenance of crane automation system code
- Support creation and updates of HMI (Human Machine Interface) interfaces
- Work with industrial PLC systems used in crane control applications
- Collaborate with Automation Platform and R&D teams
- Participate in code testing, debugging, and maintenance activities
- Follow defined development standards and safety procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement of automation solutions

Required Skills and Expectations
- Good English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
- Basic computer usage skills, including Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with industrial PLC systems such as Siemens TIA Portal
