🛠 Role & Responsibilities

As an Application Developer at IBM, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Work across system architecture layers — front-end, back-end, databases, and cloud.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Support generative AI and data-driven cloud projects.
• Use IBM Design Thinking methodology to create high-performing, secure, and user-friendly applications.
• Develop solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud-native tools.
• Perform root cause analysis on data and system issues.
• Contribute to CI/CD practices and infrastructure automation.
• Work with relational databases such as SQL, PostgreSQL, DB2, and MongoDB.
• Utilize UI frameworks like React, AngularJS, Bootstrap, jQuery, and others.

🎯 Required Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills (query writing, optimization, cost analysis)
• Experience with BigQuery
• Python (Object-Oriented Programming)
• Data pipeline & streaming tools: Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Hadoop, Spark Streaming
• Git version control
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
• Database management & performance optimization
• Analytical problem-solving and debugging ability

💡 Preferred Skills

• Experience building and optimizing scalable data pipelines
• Knowledge of metadata, workload management, and dependency handling
• Experience with stream processing and message queuing systems
