About the Role
HARMAN’s EPIC (Early Pursuits with Innovative Concepts) team focuses on pioneering new car audio innovations to strengthen the company’s leadership in the premium automotive audio space. The team works on concepts that support sales pitches to OEM customers and showcases products at CES and other major tech events.
As a Trainee in Embedded Software & System Verification, you’ll work closely with the global EPIC team across six countries, developing cutting-edge embedded software solutions for concept vehicles and demonstrators.
What You Will Do
As part of the EPIC team, your responsibilities include:
- Embedded Software Development:
- Contribute to embedded software solutions for concept vehicles.
- System & Functional Testing:
- Support system integration, functionality, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Debugging and System Bring-Ups:
- Assist in debugging software issues and hardware bring-ups.
- Software Flashing & Feature Integration:
- Flash new software updates and integrate features from various demos.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with local and global teams on concept development.
- Documentation:
- Handover completed work to global engineering teams with thorough documentation.

What You Need
To succeed in this role, you should have:
✅ Passion for embedded software development.
✅ Basic to intermediate experience in embedded systems.
✅ Familiarity with system testing and verification processes.
✅ Ability to adapt to new technologies.
✅ Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

✔ Willingness to work from HARMAN’s Bangalore office (some remote work allowed).
✔ Must pass a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Android HMI applications (In-Vehicle Infotainment systems).
- Understanding of automotive audio systems, hardware, and amplifiers.
- Knowledge of embedded development tools and debugging techniques.
