Role Overview

As an Engineering Analyst – Payments Trust & Safety, you will work to prevent fraud and abuse in Google’s payment systems. This includes identifying policy violations, analyzing data trends, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and improving fraud detection tools. You will also lead projects to enhance enforcement strategies, improve workflows, and ensure Google’s payment ecosystem remains secure and trustworthy.

Responsibilities

  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse in Google Payment services.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends, violations, and emerging fraud patterns.
  • Design and build reporting platforms and measurement tools.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve fraud detection systems.
  • Develop and enhance enforcement strategies with cross-functional teams.
  • Respond to escalations from internal and external parties within service levels.
  • Lead operations programs and track project schedules with multiple stakeholders.
