Role Overview
The DevOps Engineer – Fresher role at GeekyAnts is designed for fresh graduates who want to learn, experiment, and contribute to the management of hybrid application environments. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, gaining exposure to Kubernetes cluster management, cloud environments, middleware administration, and automation techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing Kubernetes clusters across on-premises, Azure, and GCP (GKE).
- Learn to write and troubleshoot Kubernetes manifests (Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets).
- Support middleware administration, including Redis, MongoDB, and Kafka.
- Perform monitoring, debugging, and troubleshooting of servers and clusters.
- Extract and analyze logs to identify issues and escalate as needed.
- Support configuration and connectivity checks under guidance.
- Gain exposure to load balancer technologies like Traefik, Nginx, and HAProxy.
- Collaborate with CI/CD teams using Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
- Document troubleshooting steps, configurations, and resolutions.
- Participate in internal learning sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
