Role Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer (Entry-Level), you will support cloud operations, DevSecOps, and infrastructure automation for Equifax’s mission-critical systems. The role provides opportunities to learn cloud technologies, monitoring, system optimization, and incident management.

You will contribute to system reliability, high availability, and automated remediation while collaborating closely with development and operations teams. This role is designed to prepare you for a future in cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in a DevSecOps environment contributing to the build and maintenance of small-scale and fault-tolerant systems.
  • Assist in creating new tools and scripts for auto-remediation of incidents.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to build highly available, cost-effective systems.
  • Participate in measuring and monitoring system impairments and outages, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support the cloud operations team in resolving system issues efficiently.
  • Document processes, incidents, and solutions to improve team knowledge and operational readiness.
  • Stay updated on cloud technologies, automation tools, and SRE best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science, IT, or related technical field; coding experience is required.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in software engineering, systems administration, database administration, or networking.
  • Recent graduates with <1 year experience developing or administering software in a public cloud environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, scripting, and DevOps tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills / Nice-to-Have

  • Cloud certification (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to monitoring tools, incident management, and DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Experience with automation, scripting, or CI/CD processes.
