The Automation Engineer – Entry Level role focuses on automation, DevOps modernization, and cloud-based infrastructure support. The position involves building automated deployment services, developing Python-based automation solutions, and supporting cloud environments to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities
As an Automation Engineer at Equifax, your responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a DevOps team focused on modernization and automation
- Promoting DevOps principles, automation culture, and best practices
- Building, automating, and supporting application and infrastructure deployment services
- Designing and implementing monitoring and self-healing systems
- Creating orchestration workflows to enable fully automated self-service platforms
- Developing and maintaining Python-based automation scripts
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting

Required Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for this role should meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent experience
- Understanding of SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
- Foundational knowledge of infrastructure and application components
- Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
- Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with project tracking concepts such as cost, schedule, scope, and risk
- Experience using collaboration tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Google Workspace
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal and time management skills
- Willingness to collaborate with global teams across different time zones
