About the Internship
As an Embedded Systems Intern at Edith Defence Systems, you will play a pivotal role in the development of next-gen defense products. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as flight controllers, electronic speed controllers, and wireless video systems. You’ll gain experience with ARM microcontrollers, real-time operating systems (RTOS), and embedded Linux, along with various communication protocols for seamless data transmission.

Key Responsibilities
1. Circuit Design and Firmware Development
- Work with tools like KICAD to design and test embedded systems.
- Develop firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers and SoC platforms.
2. Communication Protocols
- Design and implement communication protocols for wireless video systems, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and LoRa.
3. RTOS and Embedded Linux
- Implement real-time operating systems (RTOS) where necessary and optimize embedded Linux for maximum performance.
4. System Testing and Optimization
- Conduct rigorous testing and debugging of embedded systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of reliability and power efficiency.
5. Documentation and Integration
- Develop clear documentation for design, testing, and user manuals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems with other product components.

Skills Required
To excel in this internship, candidates should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in C, C++, and Python programming languages.
- Hands-on experience with ARM microcontrollers (e.g., Cortex-M, Cortex-A) and SoC platforms.
- Strong knowledge of embedded systems, including RTOS and embedded Linux.
- Familiarity with communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, and wireless protocols.
- Experience with hardware design and tools such as KiCad, EAGLE, and Altium Designer.

Who Can Apply
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are available for a full-time, in-office internship.
- Can start the internship between 25th Dec’24 and 29th Jan’25.
- Can commit to a duration of 6 months.
- Possess relevant skills and a passion for embedded systems.
- Have completed relevant projects or practical exposure to embedded systems during college.

Job offer: Successful interns can expect a permanent job offer with a salary of ₹300,000 to ₹500,000/year.
