Role Overview
As an SDE – I (Backend) at Eloelo, you will work on building and scaling backend systems that power live-streaming games and social interactions. You will be responsible not just for writing code, but also for designing APIs, contributing to architecture, and owning features end-to-end. This role requires strong fundamentals in backend engineering, data structures, concurrency, and distributed systems.
You will collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable and low-latency experiences to users.
What You Will Do
Understand user behavior and continuously improve user experience with every release
Own backend features end-to-end, including delivery and solution architecture
Design and develop highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant backend systems
Create High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents for complex problems
Build best-in-class APIs with low latency and high throughput
Work on system performance, concurrency handling, and reliability improvements
Continuously refactor codebases and architectures to maintain high engineering standards
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ship high-quality features
Key Requirements
Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing, and deploying large-scale backend applications
Strong understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and OOP concepts
Strong knowledge of concurrency and multithreading
Proficiency in Java (experience with GoLang or Python is a plus)
Experience in data modeling using both Relational and NoSQL databases
Ability to design and implement low-latency RESTful services
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP
Experience working with distributed messaging systems like Kafka
Comfortable refactoring systems to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
Strong problem-solving skills and passion for learning new technologies
