As a Software Engineer at Amdocs, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software systems, monitoring infrastructure, and managing incidents in a 24×7 operational environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, and ITSM platforms, while contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives.

Role Overview
As a Software Engineer at Amdocs, you will design, develop, and maintain software systems while ensuring high service quality and meeting SLAs. You will proactively monitor applications, diagnose issues, manage incidents, and implement automation wherever possible.
You will play a critical role in enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring reliability, and contributing to the success of large-scale telecom applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders to drive incident resolution and process improvements
- Monitor server health, application performance, and deployment status
- Analyze logs using Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana to identify root causes of issues
- Ensure compliance with internal audits and service standards (SLAs & KPIs)
- Proactively identify areas for automation and alert monitoring improvements
- Document repeatable processes and create knowledge articles
- Respond to customer queries and assist in critical P1 incident resolution
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure seamless operations across multiple time zones

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Experience with incident management and infrastructure monitoring
- Familiarity with Jira, Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, ITSM tools
- Knowledge of telecom domain operations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure and in ambiguous situations
- Willingness to work rotational 24×7 shifts
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- ITIL/ITSM certification
- Advanced Splunk search, visualization, and log parsing knowledge
- Experience creating dashboards, alerts, and performance monitoring systems
- Understanding of microservices deployments and observability best practices
- Proactive approach to continuous learning and process improvement
