Role Overview – Data Scientist
As a Data Scientist at Amdocs, you will play a key role in shaping AI and GenAI initiatives by transforming raw data into insights that drive intelligent decision-making. You will work closely with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and product managers to support model development, evaluation, and continuous improvement.
This role blends data engineering, analytics, machine learning, and GenAI tools, making it suitable for candidates who enjoy both technical depth and business problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data scientists, AI/ML engineers, and product teams to define analytical goals
- Source, integrate, and assess data from multiple internal and external sources
- Prepare datasets for modeling through data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights
- Support AI and GenAI model evaluation using metrics, reports, and dashboards
- Leverage Generative AI tools to enhance analytics workflows and create synthetic datasets
- Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and ethical AI practices
- Monitor deployed model performance and contribute to continuous optimization efforts

Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Hands-on experience with GenAI solutions deployed in production environments
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python or R
- Experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib, or Seaborn
