Role Overview – DevOps Intern
The DevOps Intern role is part of AEREO’s Platform Team, which is responsible for building and maintaining cloud infrastructure for Aereo Cloud. As an intern, you will support cloud automation, infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and monitoring systems.
This role is ideal for candidates who are eager to learn modern DevOps tools, improve cloud reliability, and understand how large-scale SaaS platforms operate in real production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Work with core AWS services such as EC2, ECS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch, and Batch
- Support deployment and management of containerized applications on Amazon ECS (EC2 or Fargate)
- Help design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
- Collaborate with developers to automate deployment workflows
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues
- Configure and maintain networking components including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and load balancers
- Monitor cloud resources and assist in cost optimization and performance improvements
- (Optional) Support projects involving Azure cloud environments
