Role Overview

As a Software Developer Intern at Acowale, you will work across the full stack, contributing to both frontend and backend development. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build scalable, user-friendly web applications. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving complex problems, working with modern JavaScript frameworks, and growing in a product-driven startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Development

• Build responsive and high-performance user interfaces using React, Next.js, and TypeScript
• Convert Figma designs into production-ready UI components
• Manage application state using tools like Zustand, Redux, or similar libraries
• Ensure accessible, consistent, and pixel-perfect UI across devices

Backend Development

• Develop and maintain REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Work with databases such as MongoDB or PostgreSQL for data modeling and queries
• Integrate third-party services and internal APIs securely
• Optimize backend logic for performance, scalability, and reliability

Collaboration and Quality

• Work closely with designers and product managers to align features with real user needs
• Debug, test, and refactor code for maintainability and performance
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
