Role Overview

The Software Engineer I (ITC) role is part of Nike’s Paid Media Solutions Team, responsible for designing and maintaining high-throughput, low-latency, and fault-tolerant systems that support Nike’s global marketing and analytics platforms.

You will work with a globally distributed engineering team, collaborating with product and program managers to develop solutions that are scalable, resilient, and cloud-native.

This is a full-time role based in Bengaluru, ideal for fresh graduates or early-career professionals (0–2 years of experience) who are eager to build expertise in data engineering, microservices, and cloud computing.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Engineer I – ITC at Nike, you will:

1. Design & Development

  • Build, test, and maintain data pipelines for high-volume, high-speed data processing.
  • Design cloud-native, scalable, and resilient architectures.
  • Implement solutions using PythonJavaDatabricksHive, and Spark.

2. Collaboration

  • Work closely with global engineering and product teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
  • Explain and document design decisions for alignment and technical approval.

3. Quality & Optimization

  • Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest or Mocha.
  • Identify and fix performance bottlenecks to ensure high availability and responsiveness.
  • Perform code reviews to maintain high standards of quality and consistency.

4. CI/CD & DevOps

  • Integrate and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
  • Manage production deployments with AWS tools such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.

5. Agile & Documentation

  • Contribute to Agile workflows including retrospectives and sprint demos.
  • Update and maintain internal documentation and technical content.
