Role Overview:
As a Software Developer in Oracle’s Big Data Service team, you’ll work on building and maintaining highly available, scalable cloud-native services. This includes integrating with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), enhancing service telemetry, improving patching mechanisms, and contributing to the open-source ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable, secure Hadoop-based data lake services
- Integrate and operationalize open-source and proprietary components for Oracle cloud offerings
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Product teams to deliver features and service improvements
- Ensure service uptime and availability, including during infrastructure upgrades
- Follow industry best practices for cloud infrastructure, data processing, and security
- Participate in open-source communities, particularly Apache projects
