Role Overview
As a Software QA Engineer, you’ll be responsible for testing and validating optical network planning tools, simulating real-world network scenarios, and collaborating with developers and network engineers to improve tool performance. You’ll also contribute to enhancing QA practices and product usability.
Responsibilities
- Test optical network planning tools like DWDM, OTN, ROADM, and GMPLS
- Design and execute detailed test cases and scripts
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing
- Simulate real-world scenarios using network planning tools
- Log defects and track them using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla
- Collaborate with engineering teams for troubleshooting and validation
- Document test results and enhance QA processes
