What You’ll Be Doing as a Software Engineer – Multimedia 🎥

As a Software Engineer – Multimedia at Futops Technologies, you’ll be involved in multimedia software development, working on projects that integrate video analysis, IoT, and AI-driven solutions. This role is perfect for those eager to apply their skills in C/C++, video decoding, and multimedia frameworks like GStreamer and FFMPEG.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Software Development & Design:
   • Participate in design, coding, quality assurance, packaging, and delivery of software solutions.
   • Apply data structures and algorithms to optimize multimedia applications.
2. Multimedia Frameworks & Video Decoding:
   • Develop applications using GStreamer and work with multimedia frameworks like FFMPEG.
   • Handle various multimedia file formats and video codecs such as H264, MPEG, HEVC, VP9, and AV1.
3. Linux Development:
   • Use Linux development tools like GCC and make files for software compilation.
   • Work with debugging tools like GDB and Valgrind for troubleshooting and optimization.
4. Research & Prototyping:
   • Conduct research and investigation into open-source software and future technologies.
   • Design and prototype novel video analysis applications that extract meaningful insights from video data streams.
5. Automation & DevOps:
   • Develop platform features, contribute to automation processes, and support DevOps initiatives.
