Job Summary
As an Associate Operations Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring Acquia’s services are secure, available, and scalable. You will work with a dynamic tech stack including Linux, Kubernetes, PHP, Java, MySQL, Kafka, Jenkins, GitHub, and AWS/GCP. This role requires a problem-solving mindset and a passion for automation.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Engineering and Support teams to manage Acquia’s platform deployment and operations.
- Automate operational tasks to improve diagnostics, scaling, and deployments.
- Work on infrastructure, network, and application layers using public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP).
- Ensure the availability and performance of Acquia’s SaaS platform and proactively detect issues.
- Assist in customer issue resolution in collaboration with support teams.
- Manage containerized applications and virtualization tools to streamline engineering and production environments.
- Develop dashboards, monitors, and alerts to enhance system awareness and performance monitoring.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to handle critical incidents.

Qualifications Required
🎓 Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or a related field.
🔧 Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux OS administration (1-3 years experience).
- Basic knowledge of network setup and debugging.
- Hands-on experience with at least one scripting language: Bash, Python, PHP, etc. (1+ years).
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
- Understanding of Kubernetes and containerization concepts.
- Basic experience in SQL and relational databases (MySQL, Aurora, RDS).
- Experience with DevOps, build & release processes, and automation.
