This position plays a key role in developing and maintaining data warehousing solutions, ETL pipelines, and business intelligence systems that drive company operations.
Key Responsibilities
As a Junior Data Engineer at Medpace, you will:
🔹 Data Engineering & Warehousing
- Work with data warehousing and business intelligence systems
- Utilize databases such as:
- Snowflake
- SQL Server
- ANSI SQL
- T-SQL
- Develop and maintain dimensional data models
🔹 ETL / ELT Development
- Support data pipeline development using:
- dbt
- Azure Data Factory
- SSIS
- Implement Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes
- Work with Extract, Load and Transform (ELT) frameworks
🔹 Business Intelligence Development
- Design, develop, and support reporting systems
- Primarily use Microsoft Power BI for dashboards and analytics
- Analyze and document user requirements
🔹 Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Follow complete SDLC process:
- Requirements gathering
- Design
- Development
- Testing
- Release
- Maintenance
- Participate in validation processes and test case execution
🔹 Support & Collaboration
- Communicate with team members on projects and tools
- Provide end-user support (setup, installation, maintenance)
- Assist in application troubleshooting
