Role Overview
As a Software Engineer at Sovos, you will work in a client-facing, integration-focused role, learning how enterprise systems communicate and connect. You will collaborate closely with experienced engineers, product teams, clients, and third-party integration partners to deliver reliable and scalable integration solutions.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy problem-solving, working with APIs, understanding data flows, and gaining exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics. You will gain hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of integration projects, from requirement gathering to deployment and post-production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Support system integration projects under the guidance of senior engineers
- Assist in gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements from clients
- Help design and implement API-based integrations using REST and SOAP
- Work on integrations between Sovos platforms, client ERP systems, and third-party applications
- Provide technical support during onboarding, UAT, and post-production go-live phases
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external integration partners to resolve issues
- Troubleshoot and fix integration, data, and system issues in development and production environments
- Validate data mappings, transformations, and end-to-end data flows
- Document integration designs, interface specifications, and support procedures
- Monitor production integrations and assist with incident analysis and root cause identification
- Learn and apply security, compliance, performance, and reliability standards
