Role Overview

As a Software Engineer I – SDET, you will be part of a team that builds automation frameworks, tools, and systems that allow developers and quality engineers to test faster and deliver with confidence.

This role emphasizes shift-left testing, where quality is embedded early in the development lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with development and QE teams to increase automation coverage, improve CI/CD reliability, and ensure that quality is built into every feature from day one.

This position is ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about test automation, scalable engineering solutions, and continuous learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable tools, frameworks, and platforms that support automation and shift-left testing
  • Collaborate with development and QE teams to automate test scenarios and validation workflows
  • Integrate automation with CI/CD pipelines to improve efficiency and reliability
  • Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code for testing frameworks
  • Participate in design and code reviews to ensure testability and quality standards
  • Help improve the test pyramid by increasing unit and contract tests and reducing late-stage dependencies
  • Contribute to improving overall product quality and engineering efficiency
  • Learn and adapt to new tools, frameworks, and automation technologies

Skills & Requirements

Required Skills

  • 0–1 years of experience in software development, SDET, or automation engineering
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as:
    • Python
    • Java
    • Go
    • Or similar languages
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Test automation concepts
    • CI/CD pipelines
    • Modern software development practices
  • Familiarity with:
    • Unit testing
    • Integration testing
    • End-to-end testing
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Passion for learning and building scalable systems

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to REST APIs and microservices architecture
