Role Overview

As an Intern SRE, you will be responsible for monitoring the availability and performance of LeadSquared’s production environment. The role emphasizes incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive improvements, ensuring high availability of SaaS services hosted entirely on AWS.

You will gain exposure to enterprise-grade monitoring tools, large-scale SaaS infrastructure, and real-world production incidents, making this internship extremely valuable for long-term cloud and DevOps careers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor availability and performance of production SaaS environments
• Ensure high reliability and optimal capacity planning of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Handle incident management, emergency responses, and issue mitigation
• Track incidents and perform detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) with preventive actions
• Collaborate with DevOps, InfoSec, and Engineering teams
• Work with customers occasionally to resolve infrastructure performance concerns
• Build and improve observability, monitoring, and automated incident response systems
• Use industry-standard tools like NewRelic, Grafana, Kibana, PagerDuty, Site24x7, FreshService, Loggly, and AKAMAI
• Work with AWS services including EC2, ECS, RDS, Redis, Lambda, VPCs, ELK, and more
• Focus not just on monitoring, but on improving observability across systems

Job Details

Expected Salary / Market Estimate

For SRE Intern / Entry-Level Cloud roles in Bengaluru, current market estimates are:

• Intern / Trainee SRE: ₹15,000 – ₹30,000 per month
• Post-internship full-time SRE (0–2 yrs): ₹6 LPA – ₹10 LPA

Actual compensation depends on performance, cloud expertise, and conversion opportunities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 0–1 years of experience in SRE or cloud-based roles (AWS preferred)
• Hands-on experience with observability, monitoring, alerts, and incident management
• Understanding of multi-tenant SaaS environments (web apps, APIs, databases, backend jobs)
• Experience handling live production incidents and troubleshooting infrastructure issues
• Ability to gather and analyze performance metrics from OS and applications
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Proactive mindset to identify performance bottlenecks and reliability gaps
• Programming knowledge in Python (preferred)
• AWS or ITIL certification is a plus
