Rockwell Automation is hiring Associate Software Engineers to join its Global Managed Services Support organization. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Chennai and Pune, offering hands-on exposure to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), enterprise automation, and 24×7 global support environments.
This role is suitable for early-career professionals with strong Java and database fundamentals who are comfortable working in rotational shifts and high-impact industrial software systems.

Role Overview
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will support Manufacturing Execution System (MES) projects in a 24×7 managed services environment. You will troubleshoot customer issues, contribute to software development and enhancements, monitor system performance, and ensure stability across enterprise manufacturing systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze and resolve customer technical issues and document best practices
• Collaborate with technical and customer service teams for issue resolution
• Provide timely technical assistance and incident escalation
• Contribute ~30% time to development tasks and enhancements
• Participate in all SDLC phases: analysis, coding, testing, deployment
• Write clean, well-documented, unit-tested code
• Perform system-wide testing and performance monitoring
• Maintain ERP / SAP-MES integrations and installation documentation
• Work in rotational shifts including night shifts
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (BCA, BE, BTech)
• Minimum 1+ year experience in relevant software roles
• Knowledge of FactoryTalk Production Centre (FTPC)
• Strong Java programming skills
• Experience with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases
• Understanding of software development, system design, and deployment
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work 2nd and 3rd shifts
• Ready to work 100% from office for first 6 months

Work Shifts
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Expected Salary (Market Estimate)
💰 ₹5.5 – ₹7.5 LPA (CTC)
