Role Overview
As a Software Engineer – Growth Engineering, you’ll join a team focused on delivering outstanding user experiences across Cloudflare’s platform. Your work will directly improve user acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, and product adoption.
This team builds high-velocity experiments, data capture systems, attribution pipelines, and reusable infrastructure used by multiple Cloudflare product teams. You will work across the full product lifecycle—architecture, design, coding, testing, deployment, and optimization.
The Growth Engineering team also dogfoods Cloudflare’s own products, including:
- Cloudflare Workers
- Cloudflare Access
- Zaraz
- Cache configuration tools

Responsibilities
- Deliver Growth Engineering features that improve customer acquisition and product adoption.
- Build and enhance UI and SDK components using TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Work on serverless architectures such as Cloudflare Workers, AWS Lambda, or Azure Functions.
- Design and run A/B tests and experiments that directly influence business KPIs.
- Build reusable experimentation components and tools for other engineering teams.
- Implement data capture, tracking, and attribution systems to understand user behavior.
- Develop event-driven data architectures at scale, including ingest pipelines.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define metrics, roadmaps, and deliverables.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide best practices.
- Work with Trust & Safety teams to ensure GDPR/CCPA and data-privacy compliance.
- Debug, optimize, and improve system performance across front-end and back-end stacks.
